Teddy Bear’s Picnic and activities.

Read the story of “Birtle Bear’s Rescue” then take your Teddy Bear’s for an excursion to the local park, playing fields or woodland area. Take a picnic. Preparation – home activities with the children. Make a teddy bear mask or a headband with teddy bear ears for the children to wear. Buy or bake teddy bear biscuits or cupcakes, prepare honey sandwiches, fruit and drinks. Get the children to dress the teddies ready for an outing. After the picnic play teddy bear hide and seek or organise a treasure hunt, sing teddy songs and action rhymes. “ The Teddy Bear’s Picnic”, “Five Little Teddy Bears”, “Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, Turn Around”. Take photographs of the activities for a display or to include in the children’s learning journal.
